Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing organization. The Senior Accountant is responsible for moderate to complex accounting activities relating to facilitating the monthly close process, maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, budget, and variance analysis.
Perform monthly general ledger closing activities, including the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement review
Adheres to established policies and procedures and supports with strategic planning activities
Seek to identify process improvement opportunities, provide review recommendations and implements productivity, quality, and customer service standards
Works cross-functionally with other departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Operations to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial statement information
Assist in the budgeting and variance analysis process
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed
Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting / Finance
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Advanced Excel skills required
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to execute and produce complete, accurate and timely deliverables
Excellent computer skills, problem resolution and organizational skills with acute attention to detail
