We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our clients' top tier finance organizations. The Senior Accountant is responsible for moderate to complex accounting activities relating to facilitating the monthly close process, maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger and the resulting managerial reports and financial statements. This individual is expected to have strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Perform monthly general ledger closing activities, including the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement review
Adheres to established policies and procedures and supports with strategic planning activities
Be constantly seeking to identify process improvement opportunities, provide review recommendations and implements productivity, quality, and customer service standards
Works cross-functionally with other departments including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Operations to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial statement information
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, including working with and providing support to external auditors.
Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed
Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting / Finance
Corporate accounting experience preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to execute and produce complete, accurate and timely deliverables
Excellent computer skills, problem resolution and organizational skills with acute attention to detail
Strong Excel skills required
