About The Role
Our growing finance team is looking for an energetic and responsible Tax Senior to be an integral part of our team. Reporting to the Tax Manager, this position will help oversee the U.S. Federal, State, and local compliance processes and reporting requirements, assist in the preparation of tax accounting under ASC 740 related to global operations, and prepare quarterly transfer pricing calculations to ensure compliance with respect to the Company’s global transfer pricing policies.
Help oversee the process for filing U.S. federal and state income tax returns.
Prepare quarterly estimates and year-end extensions.
Respond to state tax notices.
Assist with quarterly and year end income tax provision matters under ASC 740, and ensure Internal Controls are being followed as documented.
Prepare calculations to test and monitor legal entity results to ensure compliance with global transfer pricing policies.
Assist with the calculation of federal and state orphan drug and research tax credit incentives.
Assist in the evaluation and monitoring of U.S. indirect tax obligations (Property tax, Use tax, etc.)
Utilize tax research skills and materials to develop technical arguments to support filing positions and defend audit questions.
Work on special projects as directed by the Tax Manager and Senior Tax Director.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a corporate tax department or equivalent experience with a major accounting firm.
In depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxes law and theory.
Working knowledge of ASC 740 preferred.
Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, optimistic, action-oriented individual with a ‘can do’ and team player mentality.
Detail-oriented combined with ability to see the big picture.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Tax Compliance and Research Software, and Windows based software.
