The Controller is responsible for directing the accounting functions and financial performance of the Company. Responsible for financial reports, presenting findings to management, and work with the Executive Leadership Team in making recommendations to improve efficiencies, implement policies and procedures. Reports directly to the CEO and COO. This position offers growth into a CFO position.
Manage all aspects of fiscal reporting, revenue. Expense, balance sheet reports and budgeting
Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and fixed asset activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions and compliance with internal policies
Process credit applications and references for customers
Ensure compliance with federal, state jurisdictions, and related regulations
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Prepare sales tax reports
Monitor dashboard indicators, i.e. DSO
Manage all aspects of the annual financial audit and quarterly reviews, including serving as the primary contact for the external auditors, the preparation of all requested information and the overall timeline of the audit activities
Issue financial statements
Produce the annual budget and forecasts and calculate variances from the budget
Ensure annual financial statement are in accordance with US GAAP
Oversee accounting team of 5
Conduct performance reviews for the accounting department and resolve any performance issues
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Proven results in Accounting and leadership experience
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Manufacturing industry experience a plus
Excellent communication and attention to detail
