Kira Bruno is the founder, president and CEO of FORTIS Resource Partners, a specialty staffing firm specializing in placing top professionals in the areas of accounting, finance, human resources, and administrative personnel with client companies in Southern California. She is also the founder of Kira Bruno Coaching & Consulting, employing her skills as a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach for executives, women in leadership, recent college graduates and more in the Orange County area.
Kira fell in love with the recruiting industry when she was first hired at Accountants Overload in 1989. Her keen eye for talent and her natural leadership abilities would propel her into the position of Vice President at a larger, international staffing firm, from which she would be eventually recruited out in 2001 to create a specialty finance and accounting division for Remedy Intelligent Staffing. Over the course of six years, the company grew to $100 million in revenue, as Kira established the internal infrastructure, hired, trained, and retained recruiters for the successful placement of candidates for a variety of clients nationwide.
After almost 20 years of supporting individuals in their job search and helping them achieve their career goals, Kira realized that truly successful staffing begins with a relationship-oriented, consultative approach with each client and candidate. She began her own firm in 2007, FORTIS Resource Partners, with the intention of building strong relationships with each of her clients and working closely with professionals who are seeking their first opportunity, changing or transitioning in their roles to find a new opportunity, or looking to grow in their leadership capabilities.
Kira's greatest joy is coming alongside high-potential leaders and encouraging them to even greater heights. Her clients quickly become her friends, which is why she decided to take her passion for consulting once step further by becoming a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach in early 2016. She now spearheads Kira Bruno Coaching & Consulting, where she continues to mentor professionals by focusing on their key strengths, through career transition and growth and encouraging them to operate from a place of mindfulness with a "life in balance."
Kira is passionate about giving back to her community; she has served on multiple non-profit boards, engages her company in volunteer service, and hosts a quarterly gathering of women to maximize awareness and participation with various non-profit organizations in Orange County. A special hobby of hers is collecting sand dollars by the dozens, and she has a passion for running, eating healthy, and living a life with no regrets - especially when it comes to family. She resides in Huntington Beach, CA, where she loves spending time with her husband, her children, and her parents.
